On 26 May 2025, the Baron Awards community gathered at the University of Vienna for the first in-person ceremony in the programme’s history. Held on Salo W. Baron’s 130th birthday, the festive event honoured Sarah Abrevaya Stein as the third recipient of the Senior Scholar Award, alongside the two recipients of the Young Scholar Awards.

The inaugural Baron Award ceremony took place on 25 May 2021. Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was held online, but nevertheless brought together a large international audience for a festive celebration via Zoom.
